Elections

The Clerk of Court is the chief elections officer for St. Tammany Parish.  The Clerk of Court chairs the Board of Election Supervisors, and is responsible for the following for all elections held in St. Tammany Parish:

  • Qualifying local candidates
  • Recruiting, training, and certifying qualified commissioners and commissioners-in-charge to manage election precincts
  • Supervising election day procedures to ensure compliance with the Secretary of State
  • Certifying election day results
